The Sagnac interferometer it is the rotating set of mirrors - see the fig. right The beam of light is divided into two beams propagating in opposite directions - one in the direction of the rotating set and the second one - in the opposite direction. The two beams interfere each other and the interferential fringes depend on the velocity of rotation of the Sagnac interferometer. Some physicists belive that this is the proof for existence of the Aether BS - beam splitter, M - mirror, S - screen. |

According to the model of Euclidean Reality propagation of light
relies on carrying the trajectory of the light by a object being the
receiver. It is described in a chapter "THE SPEED OF LIGHT". The resultant trajectory of the light (AC) is presented in the figure on the right. The light propagates along trajectory perpendicular to the emitter (the segment AB) and this trajectory is carried by the receiver (along the segment BC). This is the mechanism responsible for the constancy of the speed of light. |

In case when the receiver is approaching to the emitter, the resultant trajectory is shorter than in case of
uniform motion. This trajectory is curved a litle This is corresponding to the beam propagating in direction opposite to the rotation of interferometer |

In case when the receiver is moving away from to the emitter, the resultant trajectory is longer than in case of
uniform motion. This trajectory is curved a litle
This is corresponding to the beam propagating in direction consisted with the rotation of interferometer |

Finally the length of a route of the light beam propagating in direction opposite to the rotation of interferometre (the two
upper segments in the fig. on the right) is shorter than the route of the beam of light propagating in the direction that consists with
the rotation of the interferometer. The difference of paths affects the interference fringes and depends on the interferometer's rotational speed. However this effect is an result of the fact that the trajectory of light is carried by the receiver and it has nothing to do with the existence/non-existence of the aether |
